Keith Guttridge’s focus for integration technologies is on-premises ESB suites, message-oriented middleware (MOM) and integration platform as a service (iPaaS) for integrating packaged applications such as CRM, ERP and SaaS, as well as custom applications such as web and mobile. From an architecture perspective, he focuses on MASA, SOA and EDA. He also covers organizational issues for integration, including integration competency centers (ICCs), integration strategy groups (ISGs) and centers of excellence (COEs).
Andy Kyte has more than 35 years of experience in the application arena. His work on application strategy is centered on the major theme of bimodal IT, with a strong focus on application cost containment, and encompasses application total cost of ownership, the unfashionable but vitally important discipline of application maintenance, the quagmire that is "technical debt," the challenges of decommissioning applications and the need for focus on nonfunctional requirements.
Massimo Pezzini is a Vice President and Gartner Fellow. His focus is currently on pervasive integration, integration architecture and infrastructure, hybrid integration platforms (HIP), integration PaaS (iPaaS) and interactive SaaS (iSaaS), API, in-memory computing (IMC) and hybrid transaction/analytical processing (HTAP). Currently Massimo is also Gartner Vendor Lead Analyst for SAP. Mr. Pezzini has decades of experience in distributed computing, middleware technology and software architectures.
Gene Phifer is a Vice President and Distinguished Analyst in Gartner Research. Mr. Phifer covers customer engagement, customer experience, user experience and a broad array of web technologies, including architecture, intranets, portals, user experience platforms and applications. Mr. Phifer is a 44-year IT veteran. Prior to joining Gartner, he held various management and executive roles in Fortune 100 IT departments, most notably Frito-Lay and Texas Instruments. There he managed all aspects of IT, including infrastructure technologies, data centers and line-of-business applications. Additionally, Mr. Phifer held the dual roles of CIO and CTO for Melson Technologies
Paolo Malinverno Paolo Malinverno covers the API economy and the role of APIs in digital platforms, and in building business ecosystems (internal, private and public). This extends to API management, B2B APIs and platform as a service (PaaS). Mr. Malinverno is an IT veteran with 35 years of experience ranging across a wide variety of technology platforms and application architectures. Prior to joining Gartner, he was the Director of Product Management and Principal Consultant for a leading messaging and directory technology provider. In this role, he developed market and technology strategies for the whole product range of the company and was instrumental in developing strategic directions for diverse environments, with many new and emerging technologies.
